Eight Gates Drill- part 1

Grasping Peacock's Tail (in the Four Cardinal Directions): Peng (ward-off), lu (roll-back), ji (press), an (push)

1. pivot Left foot step with Right foot. Ward off Right, Roll Back, Press, Push

 

 

 

 

 Clue: if the Right foot is in front, turn 180 degrees.   If the Left foot is in front turn 90 degrees. 

 

 

3. pivot Left foot step 90 degrees with Right foot. Ward off Right, Roll Back, Press, Push
4. pivot Right foot step 180 degrees with Left foot. Ward off Left, Roll Back, Press, Push
6. pivot Right foot step 180 degrees with Left foot. Ward off Left, Roll Back, Press, Push
2. pivot Right foot step 180 degrees with Left foot. Ward off Left, Roll Back, Press, Push

7. pivot Left foot step 90 degrees with Right foot. Ward off Right, Roll Back, Press, Push

8. pivot Right foot step 180 degrees with Left foot. Ward off Left, Roll Back, Press, Push

5. pivot Left foot step 90 degrees with Right foot. Ward off Right, Roll Back, Press, Push
This completes Grasping the Peacock's Tail on the left and right sides in each of the four directions
